Cancellation & Refund Policy

Customer delight is our motto. IndiaChikan ensures utmost customer satisfaction, before, during, and after purchase. Our endeavour is to make our customers’ online shopping experience as easy and pleasant as possible.

Unfortunately for our international customers, we are NOT ABLE TO OFFER A RETURNS policy, as it is not time or cost effective at this time for us. We won’t be able to provide exchange, returns or refunds to our international customers.
The following Return policy (mentioned below) is applicable only for our local customers ( i.e. customers located within India)-

Before you decide to return a Chikan product for minor irregularity, please do consider that Chikankari items are handcrafted and thus each product is unique and slightly different. An irregular pattern or colour in handcrafted products is not a defect and it is reflective of the fact that you have received an original handcrafted piece from the place famous for that craft.

We believe that all the customers who order online are aware that colours seen on a monitor will be slightly different as compared to the actual outfits or accessories ordered.

All items are carefully packaged by us to avoid any form of damage. We ensure the package is waterproof with plastic wrap.

If you cancel your order before your product has shipped, we will refund the entire amount. For cancelled orders, the refund is issued via the same mode of payment that was used to place the order. For example, if you had made the payment for the order using your Visa or MasterCard Credit Card, refund for the cancelled order will be issued to the same credit card. Please note that we shall not beresponsible for any delays in credit to the Cardholder’s credit / debit card account as that is managed by the Cardholder’s issuing bank.

Please DO NOT return any product, before receiving confirmation from us. In case any product is returned without such confirmation, we do not guarantee any credit or replacement of the product.

Please mention clearly customer name and order number while sending your returns.

We provide measurements and all details of our products clearly. Please feel free to call us or email us at with questions about our products to completely satisfy yourself about all details before placing an order. However, once an order has been shipped, we would unfortunately not be able to replace it with an alternate product.

Barring genuine size issues (for unused merchandise), no other exchange or replacement requests would be entertained. However since we maintain limited stock in our inventory and owing to the uniqueness of each Chikan item (no two handcrafted products are exactly the same), we shall only offer exchange to customers based on the availability of the stock in our inventory. You need to let us know within 24 hours of delivery. The customer is liable to pay all courier costs for exchange owing to size issues.

All items will be inspected upon return. Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed and undamaged. Return items will only be accepted in their original packaging. Any items (sales returns) that have been damaged, soiled or altered or which do not pass quality check, will not be accepted and will be sent back to the customer.

For agreed returns and exchanges, we advise customers to use a track able courier service and keep us informed on the tracking number. Any goods/merchandise lost or damaged, when sent back by the customer, will be the responsibility of the customer and we will have no responsibility for the same.

We will issue a refund, or (if you prefer), provide you with an electronic gift voucher to make an alternate purchase our site.

Cancellation of apparel that has been customized for you, is not allowed. 

Any complaint with regards to damage or any other should be reported to us within 24 hours of the receipt of the products. We may ask for a digital picture of the same in order to review the same. Your email to us at should contain comprehensive details of the defects/complaints of the single order/package delivery. Please note that we shall examine the returned products for all such defects/variations, on the basis of your emails.

No refunds will be given in the following cases:

 1.Apparel that has been customized for you, Returns would not be accepted for custom made / stitched clothing.

2. Products returned in a used or damaged condition.

3. Incorrect or outdated delivery address.

4. After 3 failed delivery attempts by the courier company, Package refused at recipient address.

We do not accept any returns after 7 days of receiving the shipment by customer.

All products should be returned in original condition with tags intact as attached in the dress. Presence of original tags is a must to accept returns.

At any point of time, the refunds will not exceed the actual value of the goods.

Shipping cost would be deducted for refund.
